Forge FC sign defender Rezart Rama

Forge FC announced Thursday the signing of Albanian Greek defender Rezart Rama (reh-ZAART RAHM-ah).

Rama, 21, spent the last three seasons with English club Nottingham Forest FC (2019-22), most recently playing with the club’s U23 team of the English Premier League 2 recording 15 appearances and one assist in the 2021-22 season. The native of Piraeus, Greece, also spent nine years developing through the youth system of Greek club Olympiacos Piraeus (2010-19).

“We are very happy to have Rezart join our club,” said Costa Smyrniotis, Director of Football of Forge FC. “His background and quality experiences already gained at a young age in England and Greece will suit him quite well within our squad here in Hamilton.”

The 6-1 defender is a dual citizen of Albania and Greece that has represented and captained Albania internationally at the youth level (U17 & U19 teams).
